THE LAYRD LOUNGE
The Layrd Lounge
Cambridge United Football Club
Over the summer of 2022 Layrd Design completed the Full Interior Design & Refurbishment of the Executive Hospitality Suite at Cambridge United Football Club in collaboration with Regent Construction Cambridge.

The new space has been officially named 'The Layrd Design Lounge'
We are now also official partners of the football club.

The brief for the space was to transform the existing stale and uninspiring interior into a bold and atmospheric setting which allowed the club to attract more match day guests and also promote the use of the space for events and meetings.
The completed scheme includes vinyl herringbone flooring leading from the reception through to the lounge, bespoke wall art, Layrd and Regent company signs set within a custom moss wall, replica planting and vegetation supply by The Good Plant Company, a tiled feature bar area, bold and vibrant colour scheme and many other design details.
The lounge has been completely modernised and redesigned to create a great venue for the hospitality visitors on match days and also all guests on non match days.
This would have been possible without the support and hard work of Regent Construction Cambridge Ltd who made our vision become a reality and finished the space to the highest quality.

"The transition has been quite incredible, at the planning stage, I had full confidence in both Layrd Design and Regent Construction that the outcome would be great, but the final product is beyond my expectations.
The design process was based around creating a premium space for supporters to enjoy a special occasion, entertain clients or simply to upgrade their Matchday experience.”

SUSTAINABLE
CHOICES
We have been mindful to make environmentally responsible choices throughout, using natural and sustainable materials wherever possible, including Tarkett flooring throughout the space. We also used local trades and suppliers to lower the carbon footprint of the project.
